LU WANG Born in a Chinese filmmaker's home, Lu got his B.A. at the Beijing Film Academy in 2004 and eventually determined to make film his lifetime career. Lu made several documentaries concerning the lower-class and their lives in Chinese rural areas. These documentaries were aired on major television channels in China, with some of them winning national awards in Beijing and Hong Kong. After a nomination to the talent campus of the 2004 Berlin Film Festival, Lu went to the U.S. to pursue his MFA degree at Temple University. Under the free atmosphere, Lu is planning his first feature film and wants to refocus on localized Chinese themes with a concentration on global humanities and consciousness. |
