The Paradigm Shift - Poster Mini

THE PARADIGM SHIFT” TO SCREEN TWICE AT KENT FILM FESTIVAL IN CONNECTICUT

Kent, CT – The Paradigm Shift – the award-winning short film directed by Jon Barr and written/produced by Sam Holdren – has been accepted to screen as part of the upcoming Kent Film Festival on March 27 at 11am in Community House I, and again on March 28 at 7:30pm in Community House II.

The festival – straight from Holdren’s mouth – “is where I had one of the best audiences for my short Audition, which screened there last year. The festival staff, led by Frank and Patrice Galterio, are very friendly and excited about this festival, and they should be! It’s a wonderful (and growing) event in this beautiful Connecticut village. If you’re in New England during this fest, you must go to Kent!”

Competing in the Student Film category, The Paradigm Shift is about an activist history professor (played by H. Michael Walls - 12 Monkeys) who assigns his class to design a plan to assassinate the President.  The repercussions are immediate for everyone involved, particularly upon the professor’s teaching assistant (Nicholas Wilder - Flogging Margaret), a timid young man whose reluctance to choose a side plants the young man right in the middle.

The Paradigm Shift has previously won the Audience Award at the Main Line Film Festival in Wayne, PA; Best Student Narrative at the Peace On Earth Film Festival in Chicago, IL; Best Student Film (College/University) from the Wild Rose Independent Film Festival in Des Moines, IA for Barr and Holdren, as well as Best Actor from the same festival for the film’s lead actor H. Michael Walls.
